Default Rear Window De-mister

Firstly it's not on the scooby, talking about a K12 Nissan micra.

The small plastic block (relay or something) that connects a wire to the rear window demister has detached from the window. It seems to be a metallic coating or something that's left on the bit that's come off.

Any suggestions for fixes? Done some searching, the repair kits for demisters are a paint, and I don't reckon would take any weight. Would a conductive glue finished with some conductive paint be safe to try? Don't want to end up starting a fire or breaking the window!

Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

The problem with conductive glue and paint is that neither can carry much current, and your rear screen heater will be 10A+

I've seen threads on a model railway forum, where their use has led to meltdowns, and that's with currents of less than 2A.

That's my main concern, think it's looking like a rear window from breakers in that case, probably the simplest/cheapest and safest fix.

Thank you sir
