Central locking question
Hi all,
I've recently bought a 95 WRX Wagon (import) and I've got some questions about the central locking.
Should I have remote locking? There's what looks like a receiver for IR type central locking but I only got 1 non-original key with the car.
Should the central locking lock the boot? It doesn't at the moment.
Is it easy to add a remote central locking kit? Do I need one with an actuator for the drivers door or just keyless entry?
Finally, I've fitted a towbar, and the internet says there should be a socket for the towbar wiring. I can't find it. Do JDM cars have this socket?
Thanks for any help and here's a picture of the car.
Cheers,
Dave

Pre 99, central locking was by the key in the driver's door, unless an alarm was fitted, in which case, it incorporated a key fob that locked/unlocked.
Yes, the boot should lock too, as should the petrol cap. Boot NOT locking might be a wire off, or the solenoid gone u/s.
As for the towbar, the socket is beside the o/s rear light, under the trim that covers that area, easy to get at once the trim is off.

Thanks for the info.
I've had an investigate in the boot wiring and found that the central locking wire is broken somewhere between the light area and the tailgate, as is a demister wire, so that part will be sorted as soon as I can get round to repairing it.
Regarding the towbar wiring, I've had all the boot trims off to clean up after leaky lights and I am sure it does not have the plug, can anyone confirm that it exists and where it is on JDM cars??

Thanks, I am certain it doesn't have one but everywhere online says it does!
Clutch has gone in the car now so am doing that before getting back to this stuff.
