BH9 Legacy Starter Motor...?
Hey guys,
My 2001 EJ25 - BH9 Legacy's started motor started playing up yesterday and with limited options I decided to get one out of a wrecker which was also a EJ25 - BH9 but pre facelift so I'm guessing 99ish. I just pulled mine out to replace it but noticed they're different... Does anyone know for sure if they're compatible? I have the replacement one bolted in so it definitely fits but am a bit nervous to turn it over... Thanks

Current spline (shorter):
Replacement spline (longer):
Both splines protrude approximately 30mm:

For anyone interested or in the same situation I was only the top numbers have to match (23300 AA390). I did some research and asked Subaru mechanic's. Fitted the replacement today after continuous issues with original one and it fired up straight away.
