Default Steering wheel controls

Hi guy's
I bought an android headunit and want to connect the steering wheel controls in my hatch
The head unit has 3 wires
Key 1 +
Key 2 -
Gnd
The wires in the car are
Swc 1 + (brown)
Swc 2 + (blue/white)
Common (yellow)
Can anyone please tell me which to connect to

I think you need to buy the right adaptor for your head unit and steering wheel controls.

Can it not be wired without adapter, the stereo is supposed to be steering wheel control ready

Steering wheel controls?
Pah! We were lucky they gave us a steering wheel in the early UK cars...just about everything else was removed.

The steering wheel controls work by using different resistance values. All manufacturers of the stereos don't use the same values, hence the need for a head unit manufacturer specific unit. For those units not listed there is a manufacturer that does a programmable adapter.

Of course you can try and see how you get on, I believe Subaru use Kenwood for the standard headunit although it's rebranded.
