Default Bilt Hamber Auto clay Group Buy

Want to give everyone the chance to get some of this into their cleaning " collection" before the summer.......

Please find details below, along with the Email from Bilt Hamber UK

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your email and we are pleased to hear of your satisfaction with
our Soft AutoClay Bar.
Please note that we will be happy to discount our retail price by 15% if you
purchase 25 or more bars for your forum members making each bar £9.11. As
an indication the carriage charge to dispatch 25 bars to Northern Ireland
would be £12.61.
Please let me know if you wish to proceed with an order. If so I will
require full delivery address and payment details which you can send via
separate emails, sterling cheque or by calling the sales number below.
With kind regards

29 bars total at the minute x £9.11 = £264.19
+ Delivery £12.61 = £276.80

£10 per bar sound OK to everyone? Would make the math simpler, and save having to work out postage per bar / per buyer?
200g Bar RegularQuantityUnit Price 1£9.95 2 or more£8.50 Select Quantity: 200g Bar SoftQuantityUnit Price 1£10.95 2 or more£9.50 Select Quantity: 200g Soft + 200g RegQuantityUnit Price 1 or more£20.90 Select Quantity: View Cart

This would discount the price of the "Soft" bars by 95p, those buying one of each would save 90p, and EVERYONE would get free delivery, though only to a single address whereupon I will distribute them from there at the meets etc ??? Obviously if ordering OVER 25 bars the postage will go up a bit but not by much, and the extra ££'s will go towards this

GROUP BUY CLOSE DATE 30TH APRIL 2009 - MONEY TO BE PAID BY THEN TOO

using a clay bar certainly makes a big effect.
Used it for the first time myself recently although it was megs stuff.
Certainly scares ya the stuff that comes off on the clay but the results are amazing.
Believe the bilt-hamber bars have the advantage of not needing to use detailer spray so saving more pennies.
Am sure Scott will tell you the advantages and disadvantags of the bilt stuff.

Maybe take a bar or two myself!!!! Probably both soft, will wait for further research and advice lol........

Bilt Hamber you dont need clay lube/quick detailer,so will save you money in that way.Place an order with Brocks for a bar or two you will be amazed at the amount of **** these bars remove,it will remove brake dust, overspray, tar, tree sap and with the summer comming it will deal with the bugs.

Currently using Bilt Hamber .....have also used Menzerna Grey, Sonus Ultrafine and the Meguiars products...

As a straight comparison ( as the Sonus/Menzerna are VERY aggressive ) between the Meguiars and Bilt Hamber bars.....

Meguiars is easily bought as it is widely available
It is EXPENSIVE...the actual (single) clay bar is about 1/3 the size of the Bilt Hamber bar
Car has to be dried for the QD to work properly
It HAS to be used with Quik Detailer, and I would use 300ml (approx) per car, 500ml being about £8.99
Megs Quik Clay System retails NORMALLY around £24
It DOES exactly what it is supposed to and used with the Megs 3 step system you can attain good results, and it smells nice

Bilt Hamber harder to source
CHEAP....the equivalent of 3 Meguiars bars for £10
WATER as a lubricant ( no QD required )
You DO have to use a polish product after using the BH clay on the car as it CAN leave clay residue
You DONT have to dry the car before using BH as it uses water as a lube
Same "cutting" performance as the Megs clay, same amount of surface contaminants removed

Hope that answers any issues

PS I am NOT a Bilt Hamber rep.....had heard good reports about it, and as usual bought some to test...just passing on my personal opinion

THIS CLAY BAR WAS AFTER WASHING AND DETARRING A PEUGEOT 106 I DETAILED RECENTLY......THIS WAS AFTER JUST THE BONNET IMAGINE WHAT THIS IS DOING TO THE "REFLECTIVITY" OF YOUR PAINT ?????

Urban if i can use it you can! The pictures on my profile are actually of my car straight after claying and a megs 3 step followed by a coat of naviwax. Was rather imprezzed with the results!

For a tenner per bar its certainly worth considering!
