Question

Anyone else going? I'm defo going and am trying to round up some of the VAG brethren. So far we stand at about 6-8 Octavias, possibly a couple of SEATs and I know 1 or 2 of you are contemplating it.

I still owe you a couple of laps Chris! Are you bringing your "mechanic/co-driver" along again, as I have a bottle of rather nice single malt for him. And what motor will it be this time?

Owen, this is the best place to come and throw all your troubles in the bin at Calais. I will agree with you that it is hard to be bothered and I know how your feeling at the mo, cos mines about to take everything, bl00dy solicitors! oh and the mother in law is a bit of a b1tch also, never did like her. So come along time to recreate John's picture.

well things are now sorted with the missis, WELL SORTED!!!

the car is now rnnin like a dream , not leaking a drop of oil (NO it ain't cos there's none in there to leak!!) snd after a few adjustments to the timing, and clearing the last of the 91 octane i put in by mistake, she feels 50 bhp up on what i was pootling round the ring on!!! TYPICAL!!

have now sorted the neg camber and toe out, she goes round corners too!!!

now the financial side, i'm having reaal trouble sorting that...

does anyone know of a good-paying job for me? a lot of you know what i'm capable of.... but i'm only getting paid £4.60 an hour!!!

i'm willing to relocate, as is the darling love of my life, pretty much anywhere there's more life than South Wales... not difficult!

any suggestions?

Owain

I will get new brakes on the 3-door and I will be there. Paul Palmer will prolly be coming along (maybe) either as co-pilot or in his Integrale.

Reckon on about 5-600 for a long weekend. Breakdown as follows:

Ferry and accom - £200 (contact Jon @ Bike2track)
Food - £50
Petrol - £200
Laps - £150ish

Thats a really rough idea. Petrol will be dependent on how many laps. Bet on 3-4 tanks there and back (depends on how you drive) whilst there you will probably get 6-10 per gallon. Each lap is 13 miles (ish). The 150 for laps gives you 24, for the weekend. Some do more (eg me who does between 15 and 25 per day) some do less.

I'll try to make it, not sure if I'm working then, or if Mrs Lurker is going to drag me off on holiday!
