I'll be there!

I think we've got bum camping this year (outside the circuit by the airport - booo!!)

Going down on the 12th in the morning on the early ferry in time to catch Thursday qualifying.

I'll be in a silver classic with a SurreyScoobies sticker in the back window (it ain't subtle!!) - maybe see people there. If not hope all have a superb weekend!!!! (Lots of beer and motor racing - who could ask for more!!)

The Classic in July too for me. Currently trying to get my Porsche Spyder replica rebuilt in time to take it, if not it's the Scoob. Will be peeved if it's not up and running by then as I have a "parade" lap session booked ( 2 laps of the 24 Hour circuit )

A hint for the "parade" laps. If you get out at the front of the group you will get stuck behind the pace car which does not go very quickly, if you hang back and go out at the back then it is a little more fun

Cheers Stuart found that out last time, as I ended up near the back of the grid when we were let out. Had a play with one of the guys in the club I went with.

The guy is the Exige here filmed the whole 2 laps, he went past me before the end of the first straight not that I could go any quicker
(Excuse his porno music as he is foreign )
Le Mans Classic 2006

Went there last time with a 700kg Spyder and about 95bhp of Alfa Sud motor, hoping to go back with same car fitted with lightly modded 94 jdm WRX motor.

For the LM Classic The "parade" laps as such seem to be released via clubs when they apply for tickets. Club I'm with have their own display section with the circuit. But not sure fully how it works. Can't just turn up wedge out some money and drive though.
As the tickets for the laps are sought after they maybe quite sticklerish on what they let out on the track. I.E old or in the spirit of the event so to speak. Not sure how the Exige got out there last time, that was last time
