Euro Combo 2008
Here you go all the SN'ers who joined us on the Euro Blast in 2007
The Track Masters Team is very excited to be running the EURO COMBO again this year. The two previous events have proven that this short blast into Germany to drive the Nurburgring for ‘one evening and one full public day’. Then a quick drive over to Belgium for an MLR Track Day at Spa-Francorchamps is hotly anticipated and looked forward to by you. The design of Euro combo is to give you a trip, stress free so you can explore, revel, and drive your car as it was designed to be driven, and experience two of the most historic, dramatic, challenging and unquestionably the greatest race tracks on this continent.
You’re all petrol heads passionate about your cars, and you wish to get the most out of them, so take this trip, that will take you to new places, new roads, big open and un-trafficked. Then once you arrive at Nurburg dive in and feel the remarkable atmosphere just in the car park of the Green Hell, let alone actually out on the Northern loop of the Nurburgring. You will be amazed, nervous and excited as you venture out onto the 12.7mile track, enthralled and speechless when parking back up. Then after the Ring we drive over to Spa another circuit steeped in history, superlatives and expectation. A full-on open pitlane track day awaits. 4.3miles of wide open smooth and grippy Formula 1 race track, large run-offs and high speed adrenaline boosted pleasure. And there is nothing more thrilling than to drive Spa then be able to watch this years F1 race and just marvel jaw dropped at the speed differential they have over our not so slow road cars. To top this all off you will be surrounded with like minded people that will encourage your desire to drive and laugh.
The Euro Combo this year will be slightly different as we are offering two versions of this Road & Trackday trip.
Option 1
Just like last year leave Saturday 10th May and head straight to our Hotel by the Nurburgring for an evening* session on its hallowed tarmac. Dinner of course will be in the Pistenklause. Sunday is a full Public day on the Ring before leaving late afternoon to head towards Stavelot and our hotel situated in the centre of this ancient and beautiful town. Bars and restaurants are a plenty. Monday is Spa Francorchamps Track Day (run by our Tri-club partners the MLR) and Tuesday 13th May is regrettably home.
Option 2
Leave bright and early on the Friday 09th May Ferry to be in the heart of the Champagne capital town Reims for Brunch. Then a fun drive across country through the vineyard sided roads to our night stop in Luxemburg. Where we shall party and enjoy the nightlife and cocktails this stunning city has to offer. Saturday is a drive over some of the excellent and challenging German WRC stages before ending up in our Hotel by the Nurburgring for an evening* session on its hallowed tarmac. Dinner of course will be in the Pistenklause. Very kind of you.
It would certainly break up the driving time for me. I dont know what time you expect us to reach our hotel in Luxembourg but I will have to start out at 03:00-03:30 leaving on the Friday.
If you decide to hotel at Dover Thursday night I might do the same.
Let me know what you decide.

And what car are you going to take Rog? I'm beginning to think you can't get anything other than a diesel over to Europe!!
Me, I can't decide whether to take the Merc or the Subaru. Should be the Subaru really, but Charlie wants me to take the Merc cos he hasn't been round the 'Ring in it yet, but the Subaru will be far better suited to Spa. Mind you I have just fitted a nice AMG/Brembo big brake kit with two piece floating disks to the Merc so I need somewhere to go try them out properly.
