hey philippine scoobys!!!
newbie wrx owner from the philippines looking for other owners in country. let's get together and drive!!! if the miata and bimmer guys can do it... so can we.
we could join a few events to get the most out of our imprezas... just for the fun of it i guess.
i guess it is not the ideal enue but the autocross series in macapagal seems the easiest to join. just want to get some serious seat time in my wrx as i'm new to this awd turbo thing.
cheers and hope to hear from someone soon.

nice to hear from you guys!!!
lordharding,
i've got a bugeye wrx. it was sold by general motors during the early 2000's. before that time, around 1997 to 1999 classic wrx's and the legacy wagons were sold by a conglomerate that sold the mazda too.
we get a lot of jdm scooby's here, very often converted from rhd to lhd... from classics, bugeyes, peanuts up to the current hawkeye. most of the imports are sti's with quite a few spec c's and type RA's.
in july last year, motor image singapore opened a dealership in manila. they offer the wrx, sti, 2.0 legacies, the forester turbo and the outback. they're doing brisk business and the new models are popular.
i'll check out your pics soon as i finish this post. will post my own pics as soon as i get around to taking some. hahaha, too busy driving my scoob around to get decent pics.
bibo_boy,
half filipino is still filipino. glad you are proud to be pinoy!

Did not realise that as only been to manilla twice
Can you post up some links of dealership and also bits for the tuning market especially with prices 25 % against uk prices like clothes and food etc i think my next trip in sept will be taking a big heavy suitcase back full of toys

philippine scooby links
here are those links:
http://www.motorimage.net/PH/showroom/
http://www.auto-plus.com/
http://www.speedlab.com.ph/
the first is the local subaru web page. not updated of course
the next two are the premiere tuning houses in the philippines
autoplus tends to take care of the exotics, plus they have a 4wheel dyno
speedlab does serious work too but with more run of the mill cars like the usual civics, corollas, mazda 3's etc. they've got a 2wheel dyno
have fun with these links. with the exchange rate in your favor, might i suggest a 40 foot container? hahahaha.
