Just been informed by my m8 Theo (the other one ) that the Ring will be closed Easter weekend.

Wheeltorque seems to have hired the place for Sunday & Monday.

See http://www.wheeltorque.uk.com/ for more details.

Waiting for confirmation on this one, but that would be a major bummer Unless something can be combined ?

Theo

What a bummer!

But if wheeltorque are hiring it then it sounds like a private session which could be even better (hoping)

No Bikes and no Buses

Looking into it.

It's only the Sunday and monday that Wheeltorque have it booked for.

Oh and they are charging 575 quid and that does NOT include ferries or hotels.. Sheeesh I'm in the wrong business.

Just had a thought about the dates.. Yeah yeah dangerous I know

Easter next year is actually pretty early ( Good Friday is the 29th March). So the chances of snow that weekend are pretty high (remember last year ). So it may be much better all round to declare "Scooby Easter" some time a little later in April..

Good thinking padre about the Easter dates, well as soon as we receive confirmation on these dates that Wheeltorque have booked it then maybe we should move our date to the next available date?

Hopefully a date where its open Fri,Sat and Sun!

Shame we have to wait for the official dates to be released

Rubber Buggery? MRK, steady mate.

If it's later in April it will coincide with my 30th and there is more choice of AMG toys to borrow. At present I will be in an S500 limo or ML55AMG BUT the CL55AMG is due early April

I can offer to run it in for my mate, I am sure he wont mind.

Yeeehaaaa.........!!!

Keep us informed people, i've aquired an Audi TD to tow the rallycar over, but i need an idea on ferry costs with a trailer.... would i be better off phoning around myself?

Renault21 Porsche0.... now that could only be one person.... you bringing the black beast again???

If you are, any chance of towing my trailer home if the Audi dies out there? I was gonna put a towbar on the Fiesta in case, but if you've a towbar all the better... more back-up

Would drive her over (lot simpler) but 2 degrees negative camber + many 100's of miles on the autobahn = knackered tyres.

Owain me old mucca, how are ya?

I wasnt actually planning on taking the beastie at Easter due to a couple of high performance mods required (new windscreen, and the exhaust still blows a bit...even with chewing gum on it). I was going to get a lift instead.

However, the delay in the dates has worked to my financial advantage so I will probably take her along after all...

All in i spent around £500 which included all my beer, food, petrol, although my car is not as thirsty as a Scoob.
