Belgian meeting 27 august
OK, stop snickering already will ya
The SIR (Subaru Impreza Rijders) club in Belgium would like to invite you all for their international meeting on August 27.
Apart from the incredible number of Belgian members (hum), there will be some Dutch & French guys as well. We would however also like to see a few UK guys & gals.
The program:
(management summary: point at each others cars, discuss (painted orange widget = +10 bhp !), beer, food, more beer):
. kickoff at the largest town square in Belgium, in Sint-Niklaas (between Ghent and Antwerp), about 1.5 hrs drive from Calais if you drive sensibly
. departure at 10 am (yeah, I know, that's 9 am for you lot) towards Breskens (panoramic view, great route). Short stop there.
. off to Bruges then via Sluis (no, not for the **** shops) and Damme
. lunch at Bruges St.Cross, two different restaurants over there
. tour rally (arrow/dots) and photo recon in the "Zwin" area.
. diner in a *very* nice restaurant in Lissewege
Our meets are normally pretty laid back, no max power racing, family & kids welcome.
Please respond to this thread so we have an idea how many places we should make a reservation for.
Costs: apart from your own gasoline and paying for your own food, this meeting is absolutely free for all.
please reply before August 24

Oh dear Jo! We limeys are going to outnumber you soon if this keeps up! You better get Dino to cancel his holiday to help make up the Belgian numbers mate.
(Or I will have to admit that I was born in Belgium - damn I just did!)
Folks, the eurotunnel fare is a mere £47 and the day ends up just over an hour from Calais, so it is an easy daytrip with opportunity to buy loads of cheap booze for the end of summer BBQ's.
Cheers,
Chuck
