Default Steering wheel fitting help ! :(

Morning all

I just started to fit my lovely new OMP steering wheel to my 05 UK spec STi

Got the OE wheel off .. Took the new OMP boss out of the box and shock it doesnt fit

Now the reason it is not fitting is because the clock spring is in the way :/

If i remove the clock spring it goes on ..

But obviously i need the clock spring to stay

I bought the boss from demon tweaks and its the only one they list for an 05 sti .. it also says for cars with our without airbag

I was always under the impression that it would fit straight on and the only difference in a non airbag boss is the resisitor to turn the light off ?

Im so stuck , can anyone help ?

Many thanks

Jamie

I can't really offer any help as such, but I bought my boss from rhdjapan.com and it went straight on with absolutely no probs.

You need a works bell boss.
No fitment issues, clock spring stays where it is,indicators cancel and air bag light is dealt with by a resistor.
Try play Skool Motorsport

Yep. That's what mine is. Works bell. Even came with a resistor for the passenger airbag. So I got rid of that too

http://www.driftworks.com/hkb-steeri...hi-subaru.html

Or the hkb one cancels indicators/air bag light off as well
