Default steering wheel

hi can anyone tell me if a 2005 steering wheel would fit into a V5 STI? It be good if all the electrics work, ie. indicators, horn and air bag.

thanks

Fit? Yes.

Easy? Not really.

The horn isn't bad to do, one connection, it may go staiight on.

The airbag plug often needs modified, but it's do-able.

So long as you get the clockspring with the new wheel, there should be no problems with the indicators cancelling.

Mine has a WR1 wheel in a 98 UK classic.

Hi thanks for the reply.

So if i can splice the wires together with solder it wont be to much of a task? Does the steering cowl fit on ok as well?

Is the steering wheel dimensions smaller by any chance on the newer cars?

thanks

You don't need to remove the cowl, and yes, the wheel is SLIGHTLY smaller and chunkier, though not markedly so.

Do a search on here for any how to's you can find.
