No signal coming from radio

Default No signal coming from radio

Hi I can't seem to pick up a radio signal on my 2007 sti, it has a aftermarket pioneer stereo in it, soneone said that I need to connect a wire from the stereo to the radio antenna amp or something ? Can any one help me here?

If you haven't connected the ariel at the back of the stereo it won't work lol. Take it back out and have a look it's like a connector with sort of a pin sticking out an the other piece to connect it to has a hole in obviously they slot together. If that's been done and you still can't get signal you will need to connect as said an antenna amplifier to boost the signal, it's fairly straight forward to do. I cant find any photos to post otherwise I would ,,sorry

ignore above post, the problem is you have to supply power to ariel amplifier in the rear window.
take stereo out and joint the 12v accessory wire (blue) on the stereo loom to the white wire on the car loom and it will power the amplifier when radio is on and you will get a signal.
