Default Are 00 or newer seats the same as 97 model?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to re-cover the front and back seats in my UK 1997 GT Turbo. I've found a French site that offers fitted covers, but only for the year 2000 onwards.

I was wondering if these are the same or are there any differences in shape? I've seen a few bugeye and hawkeyes which all looked pretty similar from what I remember. Just wondered if they are the same.

Thanks in advance.

Yes sorry used to calling it that as I live in France and bought the car over from the UK a couple of years ago. The site only gives the option of make/model and year (from 2000 upwards). It doesn't mention which type it is for.

I've since found Albert Premium who do custom seat covers and I think they are the ones who supply the site I originally found.

I tried searching on these forums for them, but no results. Are there any recommended places for replacement seat covers? Mine are really starting to show their age.

Thanks

mmm, i;d guess they will be bugeye fit then, but thats a pure guess.

most folks just replace the seats rather than cover, tends to work out cheaper, so cant help im afriad

I'd personally suggest simply replacing them....

Thanks, but I'm having trouble finding any clean ones in France. Perhaps next time I come back to the UK I'll try and get some.

You must take in account that drivers seat has more set up options so if you get ones from RHD your navigator will have better seat

Other that that Bugeye seats have same feeling as yours........i find them better than later STIs.
