Default Water temp gauge

Hi chaps,
I'm looking to put a water temp gauge in the car, it will be another prosport to match my others.
The gauge comes with a 1/8npt sensor, where would this screw onto ?

You can bin the OE one under the inlet manifold & fit the new one there,or buy a hose adapter off eBay.

Didn't really wanna be 'T'ing into the hose so maybe go with OE position I think. It's down the back on the left hand side isn't it Richard ??

Wonder if I can somehow 'T' into the wiring to keep the OE gauge working as well as the new one.

i did this last month matty, i t the top hose and its fine, i bought the prosport stepper peak gauge and adaptor from ebay. i wanted the original gauge to keep working too.
everything i needed was included, it was just a case of cutting the top hose and putting the adaptor in.

it is a 38mm hose on newage but they sell other sizes.
i got this gauge
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/52mm-Premi...#ht_500wt_1054
and this adaptor

Mines a classic if you remove the alternator the 2 water temp sensors are behind it just under the manifold. I did mine this way as I don't see the need for 2 gauges it's the temp in the block that matters the most. If you want two gauges you need to T into a water pipe with adapter, should be fine if you buy the correct adapter.

Done mine on a classic: the more accurate Defi gauge is now where the OE one was.

I tried the car without the OE sender, but couldn't get my head round the gauge always being at zero, so bought a fitting kit and put the OE sender into the top hose.

Only disaster was that manipulating the OLD top-hose caused it to split, so a new one had to go in.

There is no way to T into the wiring, the two senders are calibrated for their own respective gauges.
