Default fitting gauges in centre pod

hi all,my pod turned up today,and was wondering what people have used to make the gauges a snug fit into the holes,i have the 52mm prosport,i tried wrapping electrical tape around them but not happy with that
also what is best to secure it down to the dash,cheers

mine fit perfect in my pod and fits perfect on my dash.hawkeye wrx

Hot glue gun to fasten the pod to dash but the gushes should be a snugg fit into the pod and no need to pack them out with tape.

i got the pod from scoobyworld and the pre cut holes are a terrible fit,all too big by a couple of mm at least,havent even tried the fit on the dash yet,not happy with the pod so far

Bruce: contact them and ask...could they have sent you one for 60mm gauges?

Dave: it will, non-fitting ones are rare.

My pod is held down with dabs of dark-rown silicone, underneath so as to be out of view.

I have also put small ones in two or three places behind the gauges to hold them so they can't be turned etc.

dont think they are 60mm just the hole has been poorly drilledand a fraction too big
Am i right in thinking the prosport gauges should come with metal brackets that secure to the back as thats what the scooby owner that lives behind used,i dont have these and that would sort the problem
dont want to complain to the shop if its my gauges missing parts

If the pod has been made properly, the gauges will be EITHER a free sliding fit, or a nice interference fit.

Yours are neither: return it.

going to phone them monday and see what they say as i even had to bend the metal clip attached to it for it to fit on the dash,just need the bloody metal brackets to secure the gauges and i can work with the rest

But why should you? If the holes are too large, there will alwys be a chance that the gauges will slip out of line and look lop-sided

Get it changed, for want of a few days, do it right.
