Classic centre console.
I've managed to snap the centre console in my classic facelift by leaning on it last night.
The arm rest can now touch the passenger chair, but not the drivers chair; which leads me to believe that I have snapped a clip on the drivers side somewhere that holds it down.
Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to remove it to see what damage I've actually done! So I was wondering if there are any breakers or people who are a clumsy as me who know how I can get it off!
Many thanks.

Dead easy, but needs taking apart.
Lift glovebox lid, prise up and put aside screw covers at front, undo and place screws in same place.
Now prise up the bit of plastic between there and the gearknob and the front console. To rtemove it entirely you will have to unscrew the geaknob, it does unscrew, anti-clock.
Once that is out you can see screws holding it in place, iirc two near the back, two right at the front.
Once they are out it lifts out. Takes ten minutes.

Cheers. Thanks very much! I'll get to it right away and see how I go.
EDIT: Right, managed to get it off following your instructions! It was the drivers side lug at the bottom of the glovebox/cup holder compartment that had snapped. Nothing a bit of epoxy shouldn't fix! Thanks again.
