Default Boost Gauge Sender

Got a day off work hence i'll be installing a prosport (performance range i think, no peak button) electrical boost gauge....Ebay bargin hopefully.

On most of the online guides i see the electrical sender mounted in the engine bay,

Any problems with me mounting this some where behind the dash?

I've extended the boost gauge cables, however i was hoping to avoid having to extend the sender cables......Far to bloomin short !

Shouldn't maje a difference, so long as the tubing from it to the manifold etc is both long enough and stiff enough.

Also, don't let it kink.

Personally, I'd put it under the bonnet and extend any cables by soldering and heat-shrinking.
