Optional extra, I believe, although I've NEVER seen any, either for sale or otherwise.

Bang 'em on e-bay, whatever they sell for is usually what they are worth.

Anyone see that set of WR1 seats go a weeks ago for well over £1000?

You need to get the pic hosted first, by eg: Photobucket.

The seats I have came off e-bay, they are blue with grey inserts and red flashes, STi stitched in. They go for between £100 and £300 depending on condition.

FYI leather was an option on the MY98 I had from new, but it was not factory fitted. I think each dealer used a local supplier, and you could have pretty much anything done that you liked.

They are identical to mine except that where they are leather, mine are dark blue cloth.

Yours look tidy, btw, I'd keep 'em.

If the bolsters are in good nick, I reckon £300-£400 on e-bay.

No, no, no..........If you do that, you limit your sales to someone who feels the opposite of you, and then you have to find someone who has decent STi6 seats too, not scruffy ones.

What are the chances? You could wait forever.

If I were in your position, I'd first search e-bay over the next two or three weeks and buy the BEST set of STi6 seats I could get, then have them valeted OFF the car, after all, you aren't without seats, are you?

Then you can whip yours out, fit your new ones and put yours on e-bay with a reserve of whatever you bought at.

BTW: a little tip, when refitting seats, screw all bolts in as far as they will go BY HAND, jiggling the seat to let them turn. DO NOT force them, they WILL strip their threads.
Once all are in, nip up with a socket, etc.

hi mate in answer to your question, these are not an optional extra.

Someone has simply had the original STi seats re done in leather.

Some UK cars did come in leather (fully covered) but your seats are out of an import, leather was not an option on imports.

In my opinion the seats are worth no more (prob less) than non leather sti seats (as they are no longer original) Just my opinion though

hope that helps bud

Well...mine were, indeed, an option from the dealer as per my earlier post

I can't see that they can be worth less than standard STi ones, tbh.

Surely, how much a set of seats is worth would be down to condition, then rarity?

Unless they were being bought by someone who wanted a totally standard car?
