Question

Alpine

Where did you get this done? How much? What choice???

Edited to say: Oops re-read it and noticed it requires diagonal seat belt in centre! I am hoping to find one that can be secured when only a lap belt is available.

Cheers

Mick

MY01.. just fitted a kids seat in the back.. the one where the base is permanently fitted and the seat then clicks in to it.. You close the belt into the lock and secure the base using the lapstrap.. you then click in your seat and wrap the shoulder strap around the back of the chair... The problem is on both my rear belts I only get one opportunity to pull the belt out.. if I go too fast the belt locks and then I have to let it all back in again, release the buckle and start again.. Tried this on both the flat and an incline and it's doing my head in... what am I missing?

This is a known problem apparently.

When I had the same problem and spoke the to my local garage, they were aware of it and fixed it during my service.

the MY01 has a special feature in the rear initia belts (specificaly for child seats ?). If you first pull the belt out all the way and then start to release the belt, you should find that you cannot then pull it out again - works like a on-way ratchet. To cancel the affect you have to release the belt all the way and start again. If you dont first pull the belt out all the way it should work like a normal inertia belt.
Are you pulling the belt out all the way to start with, as this may be you problem?

good luck!
