hey guys i have a 98 sti recently av noticed water leakage in my boot just behind the left rear light cluster l near where the jack go's any suggestions? av seen that this is a problem on a thred before bt i cant remember whare thanks in advance

its happened to both classics I have had.....here is my little how2 ...hope it helps

ITEMS NEEDED
* Bucket & Sponge
* Dry Old Towel
* Hose Pipe
* Torch or Portable Light
* Sillicone Sealant
* Most Important....A Friend/Relative

1) With the bucket and sponge soak up the excess water from the boot then dry it off with the old towel.

2) Get a friend/relative to hold on to your car keys and the hose pipe.

3) Climb into the boot with the torch & sponge and have the boot closed with you inside.

4) Have your friend/relative spray water over the rear light and where the spoiler bolts to the boot lid.

5) With the torch watch for any water leakages.

6) Once you have spotted the water leak, get your friend/relative to stop with the hose pipe and open the boot.

7) Now you know where the leak is, dry this up and excess water.

8) Once dried up, completely cover the joint/joints, gap/gaps with the sealant and leave to dry but make sure its well ventilated when doing this.

9) Repeat process to make sure a joint/joints, gap/gaps are no longer leaking.
