Default Nomad/JW Racing 3x52mm pod fitting help?

Anyone with this pod figured out how the hell to fix it securely down!!! Iv had it almost a year & it still just sits there on the dash not fixed down to anything. The dam thing has the stupidest, most feeble attempt at a fixing ever, cannot believe somebody actually thought that would hold anything down!! Any ideas???????

Hello mate.Where did you get it from? If its from scoobyworld its the same as mine and you should've got a packet of nuts, bolts and washers with it.

It was directly from Nomad Racing & all it has underneath it are two plastic push screws on the front which are much smaller than the two large square fixing bits in the dash. The back of the pod just has two metal clips that you wedge under the dash opening. I didnt get any screws or washers etc.

Thats slightly different from mine then mate.I've got the 2 metal lugs at the back but the bolts i was supplied with fit into the holes in the front of the dash.It was a bit fiddly but all nice and tight

But are'nt the holes in the front of your dash square holes? And how do the bolts stay fastened in (with nuts?) as you cant get acess to them once your put the pod down.

I'll try and explain, but it's difficult!! The holes are square but the bolt fits through ok.I had to take the air vent and hazard switch out to get nuts and washers onto the bolt.Luckily my fiancee has very small hands so she managed to wind the nuts onto each bolt while i pushed down hard on the pod itself to stop the bolt from turning. After the nut was a little way up the bolt the bolt stopped turning and i was then able to tighten them with a spanner.

I've got the same gauge pod but I've sanded filled grinded and painted mine so it finally sits "flush" to the dash which TBH is how I expected it to be in the first place.

I've put a couple of sticky pads under the rear hook thingies and have just used the plastic screws they supplied me and pushed down on the pod and pushed them in the small rectangular holes and until I lost one it was all tight and secure and easy to pop off when I wanted it to.

Even if you screw the front down I can't imagine the back sitting correctly but I may well be wrong.

Personally although I love the idea I think it's the worst made pod I've ever bloody seen!!!

The back of my pod fits ok, its the front end that sticks up at the corners. But by using bolts & nuts it now sits far better. But have to agree poorly made pod

I notice these pods don't have a hood like many others. Do you guys get any problems with glare, or reflection on the windscreen at night?

You do get reflections but no not too bad, I don't notice it put it that way.

I got this pod a: cause i thought it looked better
and b: cause at 6ft6 I dont get a lot of windscreen to look through as it is without something extra sticking up in the middle!
