Default advice need fitting prosport boost gauge

could anybody give me advice on fitting a prosport boost gauge please, so far ive plumbed the sensor into where my dump valve goes 3rd nipple on inlet & connected the black red & white to them coming from back of the gauge, now power wise ive found a plug doing nothing which has a earth & a ignition switched positive so ive connect the earth to earth & the red & the amber wire(for lighting) both to the ignition positive as i want the light on all the time with ignition on, but problem ive got is when i start the engine the gauge lights up & goes all the way round & keeps beeping?? anyideas what ive done wrong?

if you want the gauge to stay white all the time if i remember rightly you have to connect the red wire to a permanant live, the black to earth and the white to a live that comes on with the ignition and leave the amber wire disconnected.

yea if you want the gauge red all the time its the amber wire to the switched live . not sure about your other problem though, i`d just check all the sensor wiring is fitted correctly and the little plug is pushed right in at the back of the gauge.
