First off, I'm a big lad (wide)...so don't want any plastic bucket seats that I can barely fit a leg into.

I'm currently driving an N reg astra, it rocks. Turning circle is awesome. Driving position is way better than my hawkeye wrx.

What can I do to get a better driving position? Different rails? Would I need different seats too?

I keep feeling the door card against my elbow, I'd never take my car on a track in it's current state of seatery.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

This sounds familiar. Im in the same boat mate, It would be perfect if the seat went back another 6inches or so for some extra leg room. But im not sure how to do it either. plus i think the seat belt would be too far forward then also. So may require a harness.

Hopfully someone will get back with a solution.
