Question

Hey all

Just found out that two of my seat belt clasps are not working on the rear seat (MY94) - when do I ever sit in the back?!

Is there anyway to open these beggars and try to fix them or do I need brand new belts?

Thanx

Hie thee hither to a scrappy and buy two. They won't cost you much. For safety reasons, I wouldn't advocate trying to take them apart at all.

(<mode=patronising>You do know that the seatbelts only go in one way - ie you're not trying to put 'em in back to front are you?</mode> With apologies if I'm being patronising )

Cheers,

Nick.

Me, (also not being patronising!)-you know that the clasp for the centre lap belt and side 3 point belt are different and wont accept the others belt?
Just a thought as they lie beside each other and sometimes swap places, especially if you have folded the rear seat.

Thanks for the suggestions ... and I know you had to suggest them ( we can all do stupid things at times!).

It's neither of those. One of the clasps works again after fiddling around with the insert and adding a drop of WD40. The other is definately knackered and will need replacing - the breakers suggestion is a good one. Fortunately it's the centre belt so no biggy.

Cheers guys and happy cornering!
