sprayed dash surrounds
has anybody sprayed their dash surrounds ie the air vents, panel surround and gear surround? if so can you post up a pic for me to see as am thinking of doing it but not sure what colour to go for.

that looks awesome, exactly what i was thinking of. did you do it yourself? im planning to do it soon. was thinking silver or black to match the car.
did you do anything special other that the normal sanding, priming, sanding, spraying, waiting, laquering?

no, except i didnt laquer it. the laquer makes it go a slightly different colour (due to the nautral colour of the laquer as its not 100% clear) make sure you sand it well because the surface has a bobbly texture so get it smooth.

Did the same to my 06 STi... Meter surrounding,centre console, bits from the doors etc etc.
Sanded,primed,sprayed and laquering to give it a nice gloss.

when sanding did you wet sand it or dry sand paper it?

Wet sand p 1000... Just sanded original paint away... You could use harder paper at first, because it makes it alot faster.
