Sti Boost Gauge
Hey guys,
I'm thinking of getting the smallish Sti boost gauge that mounts to the top of the steering column. Anybody else tried 1 of these? If so would you have any pics of it fitted??
Cheers

Yep. Like Beastie says, I too have one on my car,
MY00. Top kit and very accurate too. We both got ours from Cheam motors. And a big thanks to Beastie for delivering my one to me in person.

Beastie,
By the way, you have to fill up your tank with some juice. It's almost empty!!!
And what a pic shot that is, you caught the immobiliser light when it just came on for that split second. What timing.
I notice the Bel Euro in place there too.

Thanks for the pic Beastie, managed to get 1 from a mate in the local wrx club. He purchased it in Japan, & then sold his scoob soon after getting back to Oz, he never got round to fitting it so it was brand new & still in it's box. Cost me 65pounds!!! Anyway I've hooked her all up & run the positive wire to the positive on the cigarette lighter but I can't seem to get the light to dim with the lighter & dash lights? The gauge only has an earth wire & a power wire coming out of it??

good that you got the gauge they look really great. None of my scoobs has ever had a dash light dimmer apart from the BRIGHT switch for the clock.
If your dash has a dimmer control you will need to take your power supply from the output from the dimmer switch to the instruments and not from the lighter socket.Mine is connected into the supply to the driving light switch bulb which means it is only lit when the lights are on but the brightness is not adjustable.
Alternatively you could wire in an adjustible rheostat in series with the supply from the lighter socket to the boost gauge. You should be able to get this from any electronic supplier (Tandy etc)
Of course then you will have to mount this somewhere and fiddle with it separate to everything else.
The earth wire of course only ever goes to earth.

Yeah Wrexy mines exactly the same
Pretty sure Tandy or any good electronics shop will have those bulbs, just turn the little black plastic **** thing (bulb holder) on the back of the gauge & it will come out. Still can't get the thing to dim like my main gauges do!!
Cheers
