OMP Steering Wheels
Hi, could anyone tell me if this steering wheel would be easy to fit my classic.
I have an early classic import and do not have an airbag.

What concerns me is it says "supplied un-drilled to suit your application", Does this mean I will need to get someone to drill the centre out?
Also with the boss kit will there be any problems with the horn fitment?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Hi,
I fitted an OMP WRC wheel to my old classic impreza, the boss kit there is the right one but in my opinion that wheel would be FAR too small for a car, it's meant for karts and single seaters. My wheel was 350mm diameter and that was noticeably different from the original, the one you're looking at is 250mm! and yes you're right you would have to get some to drill a large hole in the centre for the horn push plus six counter sunk holes to fit the wheel to the boss.

thanks for your advice, I had a small wheel on a previous car and it did cause problems. Sounds like it wouldnt really be worth the hassle, I have the original Nardi (i think thats the name for it) wheel and tbh its in good condition, just been looking for something different.
Is there any that you would recommend from experience? or should I just stick with the original?

I too had the Nardi wheel in my original impreza, the OMP wheel that I fitted was easy enough to fit, just had to connect a wire from the steering colum to the horn push. The WRC wheel I had was a little deeper dished than the original so was slightly further away from the stalks than before but I soon got used to that. It's an easy enough job if you wanted to change it.
