i am looking to fix up my interior

does anybody know if you can install a dash and centre console etc from a 2001 onwards impreza into a 1999 impreza? in theory it should be very similar? but i am not sure if it would work as switches and things may be different

i am either going to do this if possible or take my centre console out an clean it thoroughly and try to restore the dash to its original look
