Question STI Interior Swap

Just looking for thoughts advice from anyone who's fitted an STI interior into their Bugeye WRX.

Did this myself last weekend, and although it looks great, I just can't get a comfortable driving position.

Seem to be sitting high up and forward, with not much support under my legs. (The adjustment lever is at it's lowest setting)

Is it possible to use the base/runners off my old seats? Can't see if they come off or not!

Anybody else have this problem?

Did you ask Midlife? He's done it.

I put an STI8 interior in my Y plate bugeye and to be honest I thought it was a massive improvment. This was probably becuase mine was one of the early bugeyes with standard recliner seats (in leather) which were as uncomfortable as hell. The only problem I had was getting the airbag light to go off as it was connected to the seats !

Cheers Paul, forgot about Midlife doing it, posted of CS now.

El, mine had the airbag seats too, but you seemed to sit lower down than I do in the STI ones.

Not sure what year mine came out of, knowing Subaru they'll have changed things and moved things around.

Maybe I'll get used to it.

Yeah I noticed it when changing from the airbag sports seats...

You'll just have to get used to it, I'm afraid

Elliot - did you get the airbag light sorted? I fixed the problem with two 7p resistors and some parcel tape

Thanks James

Got the problem with the light sorted (thanks to scoobynets advice) a while back using the same way as you.

Cheers
