Default White marks.

Hi
A few weeks ago I found a white powdery mould like stain on the rear of the front seats and on most of the surface of the rear seats. I took the car to the local dealer (53 WXR with PPP) and they wet vacuumed the inside of the car under warranty. This seamed to sort out the problem but over the weekend I noticed the marks were coming back.
The boot and the rear seats are rarely used and I have not spilt anything in the car.
Has anyone had a similar problem as the dealer says he has never seen this before?

Cheers
Colin.

Have the same type of problem with my MY04 WRX, which has MY04 Sti seats fitted. The back of the 2 front seats have a white dusting through them which is ever so slightly tacky to the touch. Have tried hoovering the seats, but have not tried any thing wet on them yet. I can't go back to Subaru dealer as I changed the seats from the standard ones.

Yes that sounds very similar to my car, I also tried hovering to no effect.

Do you think this is covered under the warranty?

Try pushing the issue with your Dealer regarding a Warranty claim. I can't do this as my seats are not the standard ones supplied with the car.

I think I will try something wet on them this weekend to see if it helps.
