I have recently purchased an import said to be manufactured in 1993 as a "Jialing" and imported to the UK last year - it's a black wrx and has a gizmo to the right of the gear stick called an "electric valve controller" with the words "HKS Electronics Technology" above the display

The boost gauge is mounted on top of the dashboard

The previous owner did not know how to set this up and there is no manual with the car

Does anyone out there have the info?

Regards

Martin

This little device is whats otherwise known as a boost controller. There are a few different models but I couldn't tell you which ones which. I've got an HKS EVC 4 and I expect the setting up procedure is the same for yours even if it isa different model.
If you would like me to email you the manual, just let me know.
