Cool

you beauty!

I'm going to also fit the capillary temp guage in the sump - if I'm going to weld in a thread has anyone had their sump baffled?

You've not met Mike, then?

A couple of people have baffled their sump whilst having this done. It isn't a bad idea from all accounts as a means of combatting oil surge. This time last year, oil surge was number 1 suspect for engine failures associated with cylinder 3...

Cool

Anyone know of a way of getting the 3/8 BSP sender into the sump plug, it looks a little tight to simply drill and tap.
Racetech guage

10/10 - I was talking about pressure and you were talking about temperature. D'oh. Coat on, engine running.

3/8 sounds kinda big to get into the bung (by comparison, my sender is 1/8 NPT and SM make a sump bung for that).

I *think* (and I am thinking this time) that you may need to braze a thread into the sump to accomodate that. Hopefully someone with a clue will confirm this, such as Mike T, Firefox or Nito (plus others) who know their onions when it comes to this sort of thing.
