Love the chromey thing - not so keen on the wording......

Take it off and I'll buy one - and one of them carbon look thingies as well.

Aziz,

The surround comes with the leather gaitor and a fitting kit. You need to remove the gearlever console which is simple (remove the two screws on the handbrake console and pull it up and then simply gently pull the gearlever console off).

There is a backing plate in the kit that goes beneath this , the bolts go through the gearlever surround and are secured the other end with a nut. As you tighten these 8 bolts up the gearlever surround is effectively sandwiched onto the gearlever console.

So the backing plate goes beneath the gearlever console...the surround on top and then the bolts join the two together compressing it onto the console. It's extremely simple!

Once you've taken the centre console off, it should look like this:-



The new one should just clip on. Takes only minutes to fit.
