New prodrive recaro seats
#1
Hi All,
I have my new seats and they really are much better than the standard seats. It makes you able to drive the car better as you seat in them instead of on top of them with the old seats.I could not find much on the site about seats and one view was that the seats made you sit higher. This is wrong you sit lower than before and you have to sit in them to feel how good they are.
Thought I would put this up for anyone considering the upgrade.

Hi Rich,
What will you be doing with the old seats? Personally, I also have the recaro seats and I find the standard seats are better made than the recaros in terms of solidity and build quality. The Recaros creak and are less solid. It's nice to have the electric height adjustment, under thigh pullouts and pneumatic lumbar support but there is less lateral support, they don't grip you as well under hard cornering, good for those who are wider of girth though
Just my 2p worth..oh and they look exceptionally good in red artista fabric

Blame them;
Well it was a choice between this or dull and boring shades of black and grey!
If you felt sick before this'll finish you off!

(edited spelling)ps...due to the tinted windows it actually sets off an otherwise dark cabin..well that's my excuse anyway!

Hi Andy
I have the p1 seats with alcantara inserts and they look nice in the car. They cost about £1600.00 plus VAT including fitting.I think they took 3 hours to fit
Nito is that the nitosport carbon fibre kit I see.

Thanks guys...nice to see that my Prodrive/Recaro interior is so well received !!
Rich..that certainly is the Nitosport carbon trim you see which I'm happy to say doesn't seem to be as socially unacceptable as my seats
I'm not surprised Recaros offerings are all sombre nowadays...they must have had focus group sessions with you lot or something!
btw..just out of interest Rich..did you get my e-mail which I sent to the addy in your profile? Also if you still have your old seats I may be interested in them for a forthcoming project

Clever marketing ploy
People look at the photos and the interior trim looks fantastic - compared to the seats with paint thrown all over them
- actually they do grow on you!
