Question

Have any of you recovered your cloth trim with leather? Who did you use? Were you happy with the results? How much did it cost you?
Many thanks

I am looking at doing this in the near future.
My local Subaru dealer (Maidstone, KENT)quoted the service for a UK car.
Another place I know of is Tarrot Tops in Gillingham, Kent. They do excellent work but I have not had a quote yet.
I'd be interested in your findings.

I have leather in my MR2, and find i keep slipping off on corners!
The wings aren't as deep as the scooby, but the cloth of the scoob has much more purchase on my vaseline trousers.

Friend of mine modifies BMWs and quotes a price of approx. £1,000 to retrim an E36 coupe including four headrests. Scoobie might be cheaper(only back bench and front seats) but can retrim door panels). I will get an estimate and let you know. Price also depends on type of leather (quality) and whether you have piping (naff.

Had MY99 done in Maidstone Kent Subaru dealer (01622 766008).

Looks very good!

Only advise, get at least three stitch lines in the seats otherwise the leather will lift.

Most Scooby dealers use a local company to them, and most will re-do all your seats and door trims in leather and alcantara, in any colour mix, for about £1200.
Gear gaiter and cubby cover are extra.

I sent AutoTrim an enquiry here is there response:
We specialise in leather retrims and Sports interior upgrades. The Subaru
Impreza is a vehicle that we have many enquiries for. There are a number of
seat options available for the Impreza so quoting an exact price is a little
difficult. As a guide, costs would certainly be no more than £950 +vat.

Within this price we will tailor the trim to your specification. There are
a number of finish options you can opt for including ruched centre panels,
double top-sewing, leather colours, piping... all done to your own taste.
Depending on where you are based, logistics may be a little awkward.
Ideally we would like the car at our workshops for 3 to 4 working days. If
this is not feasible, we can arrange for the interior to be transported to
us and back with minimal cost if you can arrange for the interior to be
removed.

They are based near Leicester - does anyone have any experience of them?

I am currently in the process of having my MY96 re-trimed in leather. Anyone thinking likewise should give Terry Reynolds a call at Concept Vehicle Interiors in Essex. I have seen his work and it looks fantastic, he does a lot of work for Subaru, Mazda & Toyota dealers but also does private work.

If your interested the details are as follows:

Terry Reynolds.

Thumbs up

I had an interesting e-mail from Craig Simnett at TRANSFORM Leather Interiors. They are able to supply the whole interior kit for £652 e-mail at Mr Craig Simnett <transform@transform.force9.co.uk>

I can send you a copy of his e-mail if you want - 400 odd kB!

Cheers

Mick

Cool

Last dealer quoted price I have is £1,350 for the full leather (inc VAT) - and £1,995 for the P1!

Is this 'cos only guys with more money can get the P1?
