This is a bit embarrissing as speakers should be a piece of p--s to fit.
I want to change the rear speakers in my standard 99 Impreza Turbo 4 dDr saloon.
I plan to use the same size speakers so not a problem, no, well it does not seem as straight forward as you would think. The speakers have plastic grilles, these are held in place with spring clips once these are off you cannot get behind to replace them (at least i can't) I have managed to 'ping' one of them off and gone no further.
Do i need to take the rear shlef out, can i do this without dismantling the back seat.
Any advice gratefully recieved.
Paul

Err, afraid not, to do the rear speakers you have to dismantle the back seat and parcel shelf There are instructions about somewhere, i cant remember if they are in the FAQ or the ICE section of the BBS though.

Its worse then that..you have to remove rear seats, rear trim to get the shelf out which is still a bugger. took me a day to fit a pair of rear speakers (although that did include enlarging the holes)
