Does any one know there that anoying buzzer is. You know, the one that attracts all the dogs for miles around when the keys in the ign. and the door is open. I want to throw the thing away as far as poss cos its realy pissing me off. Cheers Greg

I know what you mean. Mine had to go too !.

If you remove the cowl around the steering column (4 screws) and then look at the ignition key hole there are two very thin wires going to a white plastic connector. Simply cut these (I only did one !) and then insulate with a bit of tape or heat-shrink.

I had the same problem with my MY94 WRX. If you un-plug the connector it works just as well.

I rather like the sound ;-)- try the following announcement to your passengers when it goes off... 'please extinguish all cigarettes and fasten seat belts' (tip - use electric folding mirror switch to similate sound of undercarriage being lowered/retracted aswell)
this has become a ritual in my family now - must be going barking mad!

Where`s all the parachutes kept then??LOL. I have now removed the offending item and my car is no longer covered in dod ****!! Thank guys for yer comments.
