Default another SECS question

I would like to install a SECS in my 99 and I already have the original Subaru top mount pod. Will the single DIN version fit or do I have to buy the SECS with the pod mount?

Also, who tried the VFD version? Is it worth the extra $$$? Who else thinks that a SECS is quite expensive, keeping in mind that Blitz does a similar thing, which is much smaller and costs 200 pounds.

I'm after one of these too. Let me know how much you've managed to find one for if you get a chance. The cheapest I can find was £422 including the pod.
I'm desperate to buy one, but the guy who did my TEK2 tells me that Ecutek are actually bringing their own branded one out soon. (looks exactly the same from the pics he showed me) and he seemed to think price would be around the £300-£350 mark.
I want it now though !

This is only my opinion, but I think it's overpriced and it shows on MY99/MY00 cars very little information without additional sensors. I have one in my MY00 and I'm not happy with it. And it doesn't like frost. Here in Finland we have sometimes very cold and the display goes grazy when it's like -20 degrees or something like that. But for example on STi 7 it's really good and gives much more information from Ecu than MY00. Of course if you want buy additional sensors and need it only to monitoring boostpressure, speed, rpm, coolant temperature etc, it's quite good.

If you still want to buy one, give me a private message. I could sell you mine, it's only few months old.
£350+pp and it's yours.

Thanks for the info Mika. Might be interested in yours but would need to be cheaper than £350 to make it worthwhile, especially if I can get a new one for around the same money if I wait 2 or 3 weeks.

Ta, Matt
