I have a problem. I have bought a Jap-spec STi (classic shape)

Now, my problem is that the standard speedo is only up to 180km/h.

I would like to have it reading higher speeds that that as this car with the mods is capable of 260km/h +

Also, here in SA`s rural areas you can cruise all day at 220km/h + without problems.

Somebody suggested an MPH conversion (changing the chip behind the speedo) to read to 180mph instead of 180km/h, but the dial says km/h and I will have to be calculating mph/km/h all day, not nice. Also the actual milaege of the car will be stuffed up (its only done 21000km so far)

Ideas??

You can do the mph conversion, and then get new dial faces that read 180mph & 290km/h. Recorded milage will still be messed up though.
