hey folks wondered if i could pick your brains on this one.i know that when u take the car for an sva you have to get the converter on the pack to transfer it to mph and derestrict it.but do you actually have to change the speedo dials to mph aswell or can you just leave the originals on it.any help appreciated

 

can you just not stick MPH stickers on the plastic bit infront of the speedo?

 

i dnt know,where can i get some of them from quite cheaply mate

 

try a motorbike shop these are common on imported motorbikes .

 

cheers mate will go and see how much de go for.i heard that where it says kmph you can get away with rubbing off the k.you can get away with it.is this true

 

dunno, the sticker kits come with a MPH sticker to stick over that bit


whether they are SVA able tho i am not sure.

 

You can get away with just removing the k.

 

cheers ZippyEFC so itl be ok then but i will have to get the box at the back that converts it into mph and de restricts it toughg.
1 other thing how long does the sva test last because ive heard people saying it lasts for 3 hours etc etc is this true

 

No idea mate mine was already done.Make sure the conversion gearbox on the speedo matches the existing numbers ie 0-180.
