A few weeks ago the driver's side carpet mat decided that it had had enough and started to unstick itself from under the pedals. I tried getting some extra strong velcro and using that to keep it down but the velcro came off the rubber backing on the mat and stuck to the carpet...so the carpet came back up behind the pedals again. This is a bit of a problem when driving and changing gear etc.

Tried supergluing the velcro onto the mat but that didn't make any difference either...darn mat just won't stick to the carpet under the pedals.

Anyone know how to solve this problem other than forking out for a new set of mats (these are a year old and in very good condition so I don't want to have to go down that route if I can avoid it).

Thanks in advance.

Cheers m8, that sounds like a really good idea !

I washed the car today and had another go at the mat with more velcro (industrial strength) so we'll see how long it lasts. Something tells me that I'll have a nappy pin on it before the week is out !
