Is that visor on my STi Type UK in front of the rear view mirror a sun visor or am I missing something ? It doesn't come any lower than the roof so won't block any sun.

 

it's for blocking out the sun (what sun ) between the two main visors AFAIK - to stop you being blinded by the bit in the middle as you go round corners etc

I've used it a couple of times (story of my life again ) but unless you leave it down all the time you're either round the bend by then or it's not safe to reach for it... It can be OK on M-ways if sun's in wrong position for a while.
