I have an MY01 and notice the MY02's> have a green light around the ignition switch.I'm quite interested in trying to sort this on my 01 but was wondering how easy is it to do? (Assumin somebody has done it!!)
Anybody got any good links for useful info re this??
I seen something on I-Club but there's no mention of instructions etc.....

I've an MY02 and I'd have thought that it would mean getting hold of a my02 steering column surround and green lighing bit and swapping them (unless the lit bit fits on the end of the ignition barrel and doesn't need any more space around it), taking a power connection from wherever goes live when you open the door / use the alarm plipper, e.g. a feed from courtesy lights etc.

Disclaimer - this is just an idea after a session on the vino so might not be feasible

 

the black bit on the earlier scoobs is the ariel for the transponder in the key not sure how the green one works tho of if it is still the ariel

Pfftt.... Next thing you will be wanting to ditch that ugly roof ariel!!

Well I prefer the look of the 'classic' ariel on my MY01
