Does anyone know how the vent surrounds come out of the dash.item 5 on drawing

The trims just clip in.
I took mine out to carbon dip them.

I used a screwdriver covered in electrical tape so it didn't scratch anything. You basically just need to pull it out with a bit of force.

If I remember correctly there are 2 plastic clips that hold it in place, they are fairly sturdy and if you can use the screwdriver to unhook one clip its easy to pull out
