Hey all time to pick some brains, I've got an 06 hawk wrx fitted with the factory smartsat or smartnav system, one of the 2 anyway lol i want to remove this but by doing so will leave a hole just below the air vent section on the right hand side, my question is will an air vent section with the cup holder from a blob be a straight forward swap fitment wise? cheers

I think you would need to change the vents as well as the pop out tray screws to them.

Mine is the same as that Don but has the satnav display unit under the right hand side air vent, so when removed it leaves a 5-10mm hole in the trim, have no pics and car is currently down at extreme

 

Mine came with the older vent in as the original one was discoloured with an air freshener leaking on it
it just doesn't look right
Wasn't the easiest part to source on its own to be honest
how bout an alarm led light or sonething in the hole to cover it if replacing get the proper one for it and not the narrow track one

I'll hunt about and see what comes up Zany, there's an air vent top section currently on eBay off a V7-9 sti JDM import with the cup holder but aint sure it that would fit or not

No joy on this zany, offered him 30 quid just for the heater vent section but don't wanna play ball
