Default Steering wheel/airbag woes - STI Type R V4

Hi,

I recently got an Impreza V4 STI Type R. When checking it for MOT, I noticed the airbag light isn't showing when turning on the ignition. Upon closer inspection, the relevant fuse is missing from the internal fuse box. Also I removed the airbag/center from the steering wheel and noticed it wasn't plugged in, as the plugs don't match at all.

Have I got the correct steering wheel? Have I got the correct centre/airbag? Surely one of them has got to be wrong as the plugs are completely different.

Also the horn doesn't work, could it be related to this? The horn fuse isn't blown and I swapped the horn relay for another and no go.

I'd be greatful for any advice as I'm sure some of you guys will be more familiar with Subarus than me!

Looks like a replacement wheel, and whoever did it didn't know how to fit it.

No horn is an MoT fail. It should be possible to hook it up fairly easily, iirc it simply earths when you press the horn button, so look for a single wire not connected.

As for the airbag plugs, there ought to be someone on here who knows how to modify them to fit? Or you could put a resistor across the plug from the loom, value again off here. That should sort out the light. But the airbag won't work.

Little white plug is for the horn IIRC, should be something on the airbag/horn push assembly.

Yellow plug is for the airbag wiring.

Did Type-R's of that year have airbags? It's a facelift dash so should have a storage compartment where the passenger airbag would usually be......
