Just applying some cream to my seats, and on the bottle it says leave for 15 mins then buff off, but i was wondering has anyone tried leaving it on for longer?

Is it a good idea, or not good for some reason? As its leather like skin needs more than 15 mins to soak up the cream. Any ideas or tips?
