Default Seating position

Had my 03 STI for a couple of weeks now and i'm not really getting on with it

I find the seating position very uncomfortable, I seem to sit too high in the car and can't sit upright in the seats.

Are there any lower seat rails that I can buy for standard seats? or am i looking at aftermarket seats?

Have you used the leaver on the right hand side of the seat to lower it, i have mine all the way back and as low as it will go, i also like the seat back quite upright as i can't cope will lying back whilst driving, i drop the steering wheel quite low too.

Ha ha feel like im driving a range rover. I have been having the same issue for almost a year and I have been trying to decide what to do and I think in the new year I will be have a change around.

I found a group buy on here that Busta moves started.

A good bit of info on here and some pictures after installs. On the last page one of the lads also puts a link up to but ready to fit rails too. Much nicer finish and a lower seating position.

hope this helps.

Don't really want to change the seats TBH, Its a daily driver so buckets are out.

If I could get the stock seats to sit a few CMs lower then it would be ideal

Keeping an eye on Yahoo Auctions and JapPerformanceParts suggests you can get low position seat rails for the OEM seats. Could be worth a call to JapPerformanceParts to see what they have or trawl through there website.

I've had my blob 2 years and still can't get a permanent comfy position always messing about with it, I came from an accord type r which the recaros were perfect think they're the same as evo 7/8 seats which I might try and fit

I used to have the exact same problem on the seats in my old classic. I got so fed up with it in the end I dismantled the side of the seats and ground 2 or 3 extra notches in the seat-back tilt adjuster ratchet, using a Dremel with very fine tip diamond-coated bits. Well worth the couple of hours spent.
